SheetFlow used in a system to analyse plastic sheets for gels and carbons
SheetFlow drives a system for a US manufacturer that required a portable solution to support it's pellet manufacturing. In the case below, the software was used to perform gel counting so as to measure the component quality of an advanced composite process. OneBoxVision designed the complete apparatus to secure the sample being inspected which includes a linear slide so as to automate the scanning process. The project was build and delivered as a complete unit to a manufacturer in the US.
The system above shows a high resolution line scan solution that inspects plastic sheets placed into the holding fixture. This system was designed to test plastic sheets for gels. Gel counting is a common requirement for plastic film web and sheet producers. ImageFlow can be used not only to detect any number of defects but to count gels. A square area may be set and if exceeded an alarm triggered. Classes of defects may be defined and parameters for each class decided. Those classes can then be added to a density analysis to count occurrences in a fixed area or a moving window for web and sheet inspection.
